Welcome to Oakbank Area School
Oakbank Area School is a unique and vibrant school, providing continuous education in a caring, safe, family environment in an attractive location between the small towns of Balhannah and Oakbank. We have proudly catered for the learning needs of the students in the Onkaparinga Valley and Hills area for the past 70 years. Being the only Reception to Year 12 state school in the Adelaide Hills region, we are able to offer a seamless education. Our school provides a comprehensive and progressive curriculum that allows individuals to discover and develop new skills, new ideas and competencies for tertiary studies or employment. Oakbank Area School values excellence and is proud of its achievements.
The school motto 'Learn, achieve, succeed' is reflected in the curriculum and teaching. Oakbank Area School welcomes community involvement and encourages parent participation in many facets of school life. Students can study Chinese or Japanese and have the opportunity to visit our sister school in Osaka, Japan. Agriculture, the arts and PE are important options in the balanced curriculum offered to students.
