Recommended Knowledge: Achieved a passing grade in Year 10.
The Personal Learning Plan helps students to plan their personal and learning goals for the future and make informed decisions about their personal development, education and training.
This involves students participating in activities such as:
• selecting subjects, courses and other learning relevant to pathways through and beyond school
• investigating possible career choices
• exploring personal and learning goals
• undertaking work experience.
The unit of work designed in this program incorporates knowledge and skills from the topics of:
• The Seven Capabilities
• Planning and Decision Making
• Work Skills
The learning and assessment tasks have been designed utilising a range of learning styles. The tasks involve students learning a variety of ways, visual, auditory and creative, ensuring success is achievable for all.

Length: One Semester.
SACE Attainment: 10 Credits.
Delivery Mode: Onsite, face to face, with presentations from local TAFE and University staff. Possible excursions to Career Expo’s and TAFE and University Open Days.
Costing: $10 – to cover transport costs for excursions if organised.
Additional Information: All students are expected to participate in 30-40 hours of Workplacement.
