Recommended Knowledge: C grade or better in one Semester of Stage 1 Woodwork.
In Stage 2 Woodwork students use the design process to produce products that show development of advanced woodworking and machining skills.
Students further improve on skills developed in Stage 1 Woodwork. Solid timber projects as well as projects using man made boards are constructed.
The program has a practical orientation with supporting investigation and design work built in.
The focus of this course is furniture construction. They will investigate different advanced techniques using the wood machining workshop.
Issues of sustainability and life cycles of materials and joining techniques of materials are studied and reported on in a folio of work.
Safe work practices are an integral part of all practical activities.

project and one minor project 50%

Length: Full Year.
SACE Attainment: 20 credits.
Delivery Mode: Onsite, face to face.
Costing: Basic materials are provided. Major and minor project materials will require payment. Costs are kept to a minimum but final costs depend on project size.
