Kirsty Rogers, Deputy Principal
I have been with Oakbank Area School for four years and I manage student enrolments and timetables, relief teacher rosters and other staff routines such as yard duties and school facilities. I have overall responsibility for student behaviour management. I also manage VET and SACE. I was previously Senior School Leader, and, having already established positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community I am enjoying working collaboratively to assist students create real pathway opportunities for themselves. My background is a Secondary Science Teacher, majoring in Biology and Geology. I have a passion for working with disadvantaged and at risk youth and quickly moved from teaching science to teaching alternative programs to re-engage troubled and disadvantaged youth with education. Previously I was the Manager of Support Services providing leadership in behaviour management and in 2015 I worked as a Seconded Leader for ICAN writing curriculum for students who are FLO enrolled and attending alternative education settings.
