Tracey Ward, Primary (Reception to Year 6) Coordinator
My name is Tracey Ward and I am very excited about joining the team at Oakbank Area School in 2017. I have worked for the past 12 years in various roles in the Whyalla Partnership, including teacher, Senior Leader and Principal.
At Oakbank Area School I am undertaking a variety of roles. Primarily, I am the Junior School Co-ordinator for the primary sub-school, which is Reception to Year 6. This involves co-ordinating events and managing the day to day functioning of the primary sub-school. I am also the leader of quality teaching and learning from Reception to Year 7. This involves working across the school to continuously improve our practice and the outcomes for all students.
As the R-6 Coordinator I oversee the delivery of curriculum and behaviour management of all R-6 activities. I manage the running of our online LEXIA Literacy Program and the consolidation of student progress data across the R-6 curriculum. I also teach the Year 3/4 class and support students in other classes.
Our R-6 team is in tune with each other and offer ongoing support to ensure we are meeting all students’ needs and requirements.
