Recommended Knowledge: Year 10 Visual Art is recommended but is not a requirement.
Students will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of core concepts specific to relevant creative arts disciplines. They will investigate the nature and processes of working productively in the creative arts, of which they will demonstrate knowledge of working creatively, through an exploration of creative arts media, materials, techniques, processes and technologies.
Students will apply practical skills, techniques and processes to work creatively and productively in order to develop and present their creative arts product(s). They will also communicate and reflect on creative arts ideas, processes, products and opinions.
Two courses are offered to students dependent on student passions and level of independent learning:
• Digital WACOM course – Students are guided through workshops on anatomy, character design, the digital WACOM tablets and photoshop producing two folios of work and a final product.
• Open – Students have free rein within the visual arts to explore and understand the characteristics and qualities of a vast array of materials in order to produce two folios and a final product.
Students will explore different processes in their Folio and produce different Products in Creative Arts B than they did in Creative Arts A.

Length: One Semester.
